Her father is a doctor at a university hospital. Though Umeko lacks self-confidence, an incident makes her determined to become a local doctor. However, her path is fraught with failures.

Synopsis: From manga to anime and now Mirai Nikki is making its way to a live action drama.
Adopting the concept from the manga, the drama revolves around 12 people who obtain a future diary, which allows them write down predictions of the future that will come true. In order to survive the game they must use their diaries to kill each other leaving the last one standing to earn a place on “God’s seat.”

Hoshino Arata is a lazy college student who doesn’t believe in spending effort or working toward the future. He gets a diary (the “future diary”) on his mobile phone, and becomes involved in the game of survival.

Synopsis: Journalist Kayama is covering the war zone and discovers that prisoner Shinozuka is falsely accused of crime. Shinozuka’s lawyer, Ishihara holds a press conference where she criticizes the sloppy investigation by the police department and sues for the 12 years Shinozuka lost. However, Shinozuka’s daughters, Miho and Hiroko have mixed feelings about their father's release from prison.
