Short Review: DeathNote
This anime is about a young intelligent man, Light Yagami, who is completely bored with his life. He also despises how evil and corrupt the world is. One day while walking home from school he finds a book on the floor called DeathNote. He later discovers that if you write someone’s name in the book they proceed to die; if and only if you have seen the person's face. As the story continues, you begin to see the decisions Light Yagami makes concerning this book, to help create a new, cleaner, evil free world (at least in Japan).

If you haven’t seen DeathNote, please please watch it. I highly recommend this anime to anyone, especially those who appreciate psychological or mystery themes. Though I really wouldn’t consider this anime a mystery since we as viewers know exactly what’s going on and who’s doing what. Anyway please, find time to view this anime, it’s only the best 37 episodes of all time (exaggerating but only A LITTLE). Not to mention the second opening theme, is an amazing song. You’ll definitely love it!
Spoiler Alert**
My OpinionI absolutely loved DeathNote. It is one of my favorite animes till this day. I just love how every viewer is allowed to have their own opinion on whether or not Light was the protagonist or antagonist. I must be honest, for me Light was the protagonist. I, in no way shape or form wanted him to get caught. I was on team Light all the way. Though, I felt this way, I must add I was not oblivious to how evil Light became. He made me scringe, literally. He became completely insane and obsessive. After he started killing people just to keep his identity from being hidden I should have reconsidered and joined Team L (like most people probably did) but his sinister ways kept me captivated and on edge. I was really hoping he would have gotten away with it. I mean stupid clueless Misa did but oh well. Though if it wasn’t for Mello intervening in the end, I really don’t think they would have captured him. L was also so amazingly intelligent; I could understand why Light felt the need to kill him off. I know it was a horrible and cowardly thing for him to do, I must admit I felt a slight wave of happiness when he was killed. Am I a bad person for this?
Well for those of you that did watch it, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
Until next time, Mata Ne!!
